Failure to do so may result in longer changeover times and delayed performance times
Acrolein requires a sufficient PA with sound tech and performance area of at least 8' by 12' to play at your venue
Acrolein requires access to a single grounded 120V outlet at least 45 minutes prior to scheduled performance time for RF environment scan and to set wireless channels
Please inform us at least one day prior to show if your venue has known high RF levels in 516-558 MHz band since this is where most of our wireless equipment sits so we can accommodate
Acrolein can provide drum rug (5.5' by 6.5') with kick blockers for bass drum and double bass slave pedal for all bands to use.
Example stage plot shows to-scale layout of a 12' by 8' performance area.
RACK requires a single grounded 120V outlet capable of supporting an additional 3A load.
Our stage plot is very flexible, RACK can essentially go wherever is most convenient so long as Wi-Fi connection can be maintained to a tablet near DRUMS.
WARNING: Ant 2 is a transmitting antenna with power of +20dBm. It is strongly recommended to stay more than 30 inches away while RACK is powered up to limit RF exposure.
Acrolein is:
Chase - Vocals
Mario - Bass/Backup Vocals
Justin - Drums
Joe - Guitar
Acrolein runs a fully self-contained IEM rack based around Behringer X32 rack mixer
Acrolein does NOT use live amps on stage. House mains should at least be two 800W 12" drivers for best results
Acrolein does NOT need monitors on stage. If there are floor monitors, we strongly suggest turning them down/off to avoid potential for feedback
Acrolein will provide our own vocal mics and mic stands
Acrolein has provisioned our X32 to allow for three options to get our feeds to the FoH mixer. FoH is responsible for any cable runs longer than those mentioned. Regardless of option, Acrolein will provide Sound Tech a tablet running Mixing Station to configure levels being sent to FoH console.
We will provide a 6-channel 8' XLR snake with individual channel feeds
We will provide two 20' XLR cables with our X32 Main outputs
We will provide channel feeds over a 15' Ethercon cable using AES-50 if FoH console is a Behringer, MiDAS, or other compatible console.
This requires FoH clock rate of 48kHz. Acrolein will change their X32 to receive clock from FoH
Please alert Acrolein of which option is being used at least one day prior to show
Acrolein can provide Shure PGADRUMKIT7 drum mics if option 2 or 3 are selected
Acrolein can provide Sound Tech with a Shure SM58 talkback mic on request
Acrolein will provide Sound Tech with a tablet running the Mixing Station app during changeover.
Sound Tech will have control over send levels to FoH from our X32 without impacting our IEM mixes
For Options 1 and 3, send levels are directly on channel sliders
For Option 2, overall level needs to be set with Main LR slider
The main vocal mic has tendency to feedback since we likely do not have the chance to ring out the room prior to performance time. By double tapping the channel name, you have access to the effects chain and you are free to adjust EQ taps as necessary.
The main vocal mic uses a Sennheiser MMD 945 capsule and the backup mic uses a Sennheiser MMD 935 capsule. In emergency, we may switch to a Shure SM58.
If this is insufficient, the license for mixing station does have feedback reduction that you can use for more EQ taps
If using the auto detection, please remember to disable after issue has been addressed.
Feel free to also adjust other effects (gate, compression) at your leisure here as you see fit if you believe it will help.
Main Vocal Mic - Sennheiser MMD-945
Backup Vocal Mic - Sennheiser MMD-935
IEM Transmit Antenna Specification
TX power at BNC plane is 30mW, 5dBi peak gain from antenna puts at approx. +20 dBm output power.
