Brief Bio: Acrolein is a deathcore band based around the Philadelphia PA area that blends elements from a variety of music stylings in a unique way. First formed in 2018, Acrolein released their debut album in 2019 and has followed up with another full-length release in 2020 and an EP in 2024.  With a new LP planned for Summer 2026, Acrolein looks forward to bringing energetic performances to a venue near you

Detailed Bio: Justin Leso (drums) and Mario Corsaro (guitar) helped to form Acrolein in the summer of 2018 after years of running in the same music scene. They immediately got to work writing music and booking multiple shows that same summer and never looked back. Nearly a decade later, their initial vision is now in its truest form and stronger than ever.

 Acrolein's debut EP, "Paradigm Shift" was released in 2019 while the band was rising in the local circuit, playing many prominent shows in the mid-Atlantic region, with notable performances at the Chaos and Carnage Festival at Reverb in Reading, PA and with Bodysnatcher at the legendary, now defunct, Voltage Lounge in Philadelphia in early 2020 just before the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns forced them to go on hiatus for nearly two years. 

They returned in late 2022, adding Joe Fasbinder to the lineup on guitar while Mario moved to bass. After a year on the road and writing for a new EP, they released "Annotations of Anguish" in October 2024. This release is unique in the band's catalogue, being the only fully instrumental output. It came at a period of transition, as they started off 2025 with a search to find their next frontman. 

A new era of Acrolein was solidified in October of 2025 with the addition of vocalist Chase Newhart. A live album from his debut show on November 22, 2025 entitled, "Live at Gametime Sportzbar" was released exclusively for free for fans to listen to on Bandcamp. On Valentine's Day 2026, they released their first studio single with Newhart, "Glacial Graveyard". They are currently putting the finishing touches on their upcoming LP, scheduled for a summer 2026 release.
